Origins...

"Satanists are born and not made." How true would that be to a degree? I admit, I wasn't born a Satanist. I've only considered myself a Satanist for only a little over a year now. Due to reading the Holy Bible and finding inconsistencies and experiencing firsthand the hypocrisy of the church and its followers (Including racism. I'm a fucking American who bleeds red, white and blue and who happens to be of Filipino ancestry). This led to my apostasy, if you will. How did it happen for you guys?

I think the born not made statment is very true, It's just we aren't woken to who our true God is until the time is right for us to start to learn.

Ave Laura...

That is a great point that I'll take into consideration. You know that I'm very partial to Theistic viewpoints. Maybe my time was last year.

I would love to see your expertise on demons here as well when you have the opportunity to do so.

I was involved very heavily in Christianity for 4 years, and I was "overexposed" to all their arrogance and hypocrisy as well.

I have always believed that Satan chooses you, you don't choose Him. He is the one who places a spiritual mark on the souls of those whom He chooses as His elect. His chosen ones will feel a strong calling or pull towards Him.

A chosen one of Satan will feel an attraction to the darker things in life that pertain to music, the occult and paranormal, and Satanism most of all. This is also why Satanists are born and not made, as it's not something that a person can convert into or out of. It's something that is actually an identity and no matter how many times a Satanist leaves Satanism, they'll always come back to Satan in the end.

I remember when I first heard the name Satan mentioned in Spanish by my paternal grandmother (a spirit medium), I became very excited and wanted to meet Him. Back then, as a 5 or 6 year old, I couldn't yet comprehend why I was so attracted to Him. Later on as I learned more, I wanted my paternal grandfather to tell me stories regarding Satan even though he probably didn't know why I was so fascinated by Him. I even wanted to go to Hell to be with Him, right after I heard this belief from my grandparents. Imagine, a 5 or 6 year old having these thoughts and taking great pleasure and ecstasy in them.

By age 11, I was already studying New Age and occult books, and by age 13 in 1985 I prayed to Satan mentally for the first time in my life. I even remember drawing baphomet pentagrams and making demonic puppets at age 12...to the shock and fear of my classmates.

My first prayer was asking Satan to have my paternal grandfather mail me a survival knife that I was very fond about. I then forgot about it only for that very same knife to arrive in my hands about 2 weeks later. When I asked my grandfather how he got that knife and how did he know that I wanted it, he said that someone in his apartment building gave it to him and he felt that he should send it to me. Surprised by the accuracy of this answered prayer, I chose to ask Satan to make my school bus driver forget to pick me up. The next morning she didn't show up and my mother called her up to ask why she didn't pass by, she said that she forgot to pick me up.

So as a result of all of the above, God (Jehovah/Yahweh/Allah) never once provided a mirror's inkling of the service that Satan has provided me. I also remember headaches vanishing within minutes of my asking Satan to heal them. With "God", the same prayers went unanswered.

I was raised in a strict Catholic environment and I wanted to branch out on my own and start all over again when I became 18 and I wanted to start all over again, religion included. After much research, I decided on Satanism because it fascinated me the most. That was 7 years ago and I've never looked in the rearview.
